Except for my eye looking through my own screened enclosure this is the unobstructed distant view when sitting in my family room looking directly South.
Often Hubby and I count our blessings for the privacy we enjoy even while living in a county suburb of one of the largest cities in Florida. The cypress pictured here are beautiful to me. In the early morning we see Herons and Egrets and Hawks and listen to the Sandhill Cranes fly over the small pond between these two cypress stands.
It's a simple thing but I'm grateful for this natural vista.
Stay tuned for more on trees in my "neck of the woods" coming up.
Sounds like heaven on earth to me - what fabulous trees - I was walking in our little wood this morning after an incredible night of rain and high winds - our stream has totally flooded and was lucky enough to spot a pair of water rats jumping around in the flood water!
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend... Miranda
miranda: we DO like to think of it as our little piece of heaven on earth. I'm glad someone is getting rain... we could surely use a good dose around here. Enjoy your weekend. Meems
ReplyDeleteLove that shot. So peaceful. Reminds me of many mornings spent watching the sun come up in the marsh, waiting to for the sounds of whistiling wings on the air and that first splash into the dekes.
ReplyDeletent: Ahhh... the sounds and sights of dawn... my VERY favorite!
