Under the Radar: This is a Test

It's been at least a couple of months now since feedburner stopped feeding my posts to Blotanical. For those of you who don't know, Blotanical is a garden bloggers website.
Anyway, Stuart, the ingenius creator of the Blotanical site that gathers gardeners together from all over the world, has been fervently working on a fix for those of us who's blogs are hung up out in cyber space ... or I suspect that Blogger/Feedburner is the culprit.

In the meantime, I have tried (several times) the 12 step instructions listed to attempt a cure. Still my plot remains silent. I am completely off the radar at Blotanical so not a single post is being seen at that site. I might add that I know just enough about technical stuff to get myself in trouble so it has been a source of frustration.
I'm conducting a test with this post. According to patient Stuart's behest... I have made an adjustment on my blog feed to see if a particular thing works.

Here's the Test: For readers of my blog
If you have added Hoe & Shovel to any kind of feed service and that is the way you made your way to this post I would so much appreciate it if you would leave a comment to let me know. By leaving me a comment to let me know if you received this post via a feed of any kind it will help me isolate a technical difficulty... maybe.
Thank you so much for your help and thank to all the faithful readers while I've been under the radar. And thank you, Stuart, for all the sleepless nights trying so hard to get this fixed.
Meems
UPDATE: The commenters who have been kind enough to let me know already this morning have answered the dilemma I was trying to pinpoint from my feed. There's no vital need for further readers to take the test .
Of course, I always LOVE comments but don't feel obligated on this post. I don't know if this will solve my issues over at Blotanical so I REALLY APPRECIATE ALL THE FAITHFUL READERS WHO COME TO MY BLOG THROUGH READER OR SIDE BARS OR WHATEVER WORKS FOR YOU. THANK YOU! A more interesting post (hopefully) is in the works. :-)
Have a great Friday! Meems

  1. I subscribe through google reader. It's easier for me to see new posts and favorite blogs. Plus I like having the bloggers post show up in the same screen instead of having to go to another page.

  2. I don't know if this is what you mean-I know so very little about all of this technical stuff! But I have you listed in my side bar and your posts show up ususally with in an hour of when you posted. I have had some trouble with a few of my listed not showing up for a day or two and in one case had to remove a name and re-indtall it to have it start showing up again. How you can get the problem fixed to your satisfaction.

  3. Meems, I get your blog thorugh Google Reader. I have no trouble with Google Reader except it is slow to add new posts. Like I get the notification of a new post 2 days after the post. That is irratating sometimes. I hope you get your preferred feed figured out. I find it difficult to navigate blotanical as it is and don't use it often. Too many hoops to jump through. I understand the purpose and appreciate the efforts there though.

  4. Vanilla: I use google reader too. It is an easy way to see all the blogs I read at one glance. I was concerned that if I removed the link from my blog that Stuart suggested that my posts wouldn't show up in any reader. You have let me know he is correct... I should have known.

beckie: Thank you, Beckie... I'm not so good with all the technical stuff either... like I said, just enough to get me in trouble usually. I do like the new way google let's us add blogs to the side bar with the choice of viewing the latest post. I do think the amount of time it takes to show up has to do with the feed from the blog feeding... but I should keep my two cents out of such matters because I don't really know. LOL Nevertheless, THANK YOU so much for including me on your side bar.

Lisa: Thank you for letting me know. Google reader is really a great tool... especially when it works correctly. LOL Thanks for leaving your comment. Have a great day.

  6. Hi Meems,

I follow you through my Google Reader as well. After all the frustration I went through I finally got back on Blotanical, however I find it's quite slow in picking up posts.

  8. Meems,

I'm technical and I can see your feeds every which way...from my RSS feeds...from my blog...from Blogs I Follow...from Google Reader.

  9. Meems - Loved the post about the peacocks. How amazing to have them just walking about. I hope your plants are safe, but thanks for sharing the wonderful wildlife photos. Even though they eat my plants sometimes, I love our deer and bunnies and squirrels. I get your posts on Vienna, which is a reader my husband set me up with. Love getting notice like that. I have blotanical login problems and have just quit trying to go there and just do it independently on the web. I'm glad yours are coming through!

  14. Thank you all for letting me know you are still receiving my feed.

It looks as if my posts are once again showing up at Blotanical. Stuart has indicated we shouldn't hold our breath. But maybe Blogger and Feedburner really have come up with a solution. Time will tell.
