  1. Thanks for the lovely tour ... It will be ages before we see brilliant flowers and butterflies here in Michigan! Amazing how gardens of the world look throughout the seasons, thanks to the Internet!

  2. I agree with joey. The internet has given us a wonderful world view that we didn't have before.

  4. Those are lovely blooms for GBBD! I love those pink Zinnias. I've never tried Zinnias before but now that I've seen your pink ones I think I'm going to give them a try next year.
BTW my blooms are up too if you want to have a look.

  5. Hi there, Meems. I found you through your comment at May Dreams Gardens and enjoyed seeing your Bloom Day photos. I'd also like to tell you how much I admire the design of your blog; the colors and the layout are very visually appealing. The "Blooming Now" gallery is also a lovely feature!

  6. Perfect timing! We had another 'freezer' last night. *sigh* Seeing your gorgeous photos, I'm so looking forward to spring.

Thanks ever so for sharing your Bok pics! It's been way too long since I last visited. It's interesting to think of 'mountains' in FL, isn't it? There are actually several. Iron Mountain is the 8th highest. Here is a list of the top 10: http://www.geonames.org/US/FL/highest-mountains-in-florida.html

FWIW, I finally found out - thanks to the folks at GadenWeb's name that animal forum - what kind of snake you uncovered the other day. It's a Pine Woods Snake, Rhadinaea flavilata. Pretty cool!

  8. joey: welcome. i agree. the internet opens the world to us and allows us to experience what we otherwise would miss out on.

kylee: hi. i'm excited about the GBBD now that i know about it and the opportunity it affords to view so many other gardens.

carol: thank you. i think it is a long way away... that might be why so many northerners visit us this time of year... :-)this is our most beautiful weather.

yolanda: welcome! i am enjoying the zinnias for fall color... i have some red ones also.

nan ondra: thanks for stopping by and welcome. i'm ecstatic you like my blog... i especially enjoy the 'design side' of blogging. stop back by anytime.

sophie: thanks so much for persisting in finding the name of the pine woods snake. i am not sure i ever ID'd one of those previously... now i'll know if i see another.

from what i hear from my family in your neck of the woods you are getting a cold one again tonight. what a difference from here. today with daytime high temp of 62 and sunshine is my absolute favorite kind of gardening day.

mountains in florida is a whole other post isn't it? too funny... thanks for the link. some of bok gardens lit actually claims to be "the highest" in florida. Hmmmm.

mlm: i actually have two of those. one on the north side by the gate -my hope is to see it from the driveway... and another in the new (first) expansion in the back SE corner of the yard.
