"Possibility and promise greet me each day as I walk out into my garden. My vigor is renewed when I breathe in the earthiness and feel the dirt between my fingers. My garden is a peaceful spot to refresh my soul." Meems

Gardening or Yard Work

Funny how gardening used to be called "yard work". Gardening does sound more romantic. So gardening it will be.

When my husband and I bought our first house over 22 years ago, I acquired a fairly large yard. It was not in great shape but it had good bones. I began my love for cultivating it right away. My experience is trial and error. Over the years, I have learned a few things. Some things have worked well and others not so well. I enjoy a passion for designing my little piece of God's earth. I have found it to be much the same as designing inside a home. Landscaping is all about color, textures, height, placement, light, seasons, water and timing. Working in my yard gives me great satisfaction and reward.

I think it would be fun to share with fellow passionate gardeners and hopefully learn even more.

  1. I LOVE your blog! It's so you! The pictures are so pretty. Does this mean I should stop posting them on my blog? I was gonna use some of the new ones you'd sent.

I wish I could have the look of your yard, without all the work! Besides I haven't a clue about gardening! But I do enjoy the peace and beauty of all the "art" you've done.

I'm happy for you to enjoy all my hard work and my art!

I still have some work to do on the blog... thanks for all your help with it.
