They certainly do turn to mush when it freezes.<br /><br />It was 41 and with windchill factor felt like 29 a little while ago. It's still windy out so it will probably be cold all day. I have had impatiens reseed for me in the past and always welcome them. They are not too happy here in the middle of summer, though, when it is too hot and dry...even in the shade.
